Job summary

United Defense Tactical - Scottsdale is seeking part-time contract instructors to teach BJJ, CQC, and Combat Conditioning. You will lead classes, connect disciplines into a single self-defense system, and adapt to all experience levels.

Ideal candidates have proven coaching ability, safety-first mindset, and comfort instructing in a dynamic, real-world environment. The role offers flexible evenings and weekends with room to grow as enrollment expands.

Qualifications

• Must be able to teach all three disciplines: BJJ, CQC, and Combat Conditioning.
• Experience teaching in a group setting; ability to adapt to mixed levels.
• Based in the Phoenix metro area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, progressive classes across BJJ, CQC, and Combat Conditioning.
• Teach with focus on technique, leverage, decision-making under stress.
• Foster a welcoming environment for beginners and women.
• Incorporate scenario-based training and integrate with simulator tech.
• Collect attendance and feedback data to improve programming.
• Collaborate on workshops and community safety events.
• Stay current with best practices across all three disciplines.
