Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician IV (Night Shift)- La Mirada, CA

Starting pay $43.55/hr. and offers a competitive benefits package

Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician IV at our La Mirada, CA facility.

  • Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Must be able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobs.
  • Works with maintenance Foreman and management to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
  • Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. (chains, gears, sprockets, pulleys etc.)
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, efficiently, accurately, and with integrity.
  • Verify and document the completion and quality of maintenance tasks to ensure all work meets safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with the Operations department to align maintenance activities with production schedules and ensure seamless workflow.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on facility equipment, including motors, drives, control circuits, and control panels.
  • Install and upgrade electrical systems and components to meet production needs and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine testing and calibration of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

The Experience You Will Bring

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and/or diagrams.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and identifying predictive maintenance of equipment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Electrical Certification, technical schooling earned or other related educational certifications/degrees
  • Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
  • Experience working with hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other industrial automation systems.

For this role, we anticipate paying $43.55 per hour.
