Job summary

Indiana Pickling is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, along with rigging, electrical work, and support during outages to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Overtime is required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints (training provided) and interpret technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with imperial measurement standards and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Rig machinery for installation and removal.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring.
• Maintain pipe, hydraulic and pneumatic lines; replace gauges and valves.
• Assist with time-sensitive tasks during production outages.

Job Summary

Since established in 1992, Indiana Pickling has been the premier source for steel pickling in the industry. Using a push/pull system, we treat customers’ coiled sheets of carbon-steel with hydrochloric acid, cleaning the product of rust, scale, & debris. After a fresh-water rinse & rust preventative is applied, we re-coil the steel and package it per the customers’ specifications for shipment.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in keeping production equipment operating efficiently and safely. Your work will directly support production goals by utilizing your maintenance skills to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Overtime will be required to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining industrial equipment, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to continue learning and developing their technical skills. Steel industry experience is a plus.

Pay Range: Starting at $65,000 annually ($31.25/hour) based on experience and onsite interview.
