Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support our corrugated facility. You will operate and troubleshoot automated equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and work as part of a safety-focused team to hit production, waste, quality, and safety targets.

The role requires 2+ years' maintenance experience in manufacturing, with ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams, and to work across mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical AND electrical issues.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning.

Georgia-Pacific is now hiringMulti-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our Corrugated facility inKansas City, MO.At Georgia-Pacific, we make these boxes for all kinds of industries to help get products where they need to go, safely and efficiently.

Pay Rate:

• $32.32-41.24 per hour based on skill & experience.
• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

Shift:

• Only candidates who are flexible and available to workany shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Currently hiring for 7am-7pm shift on a rotating3-2-2-3 schedule.
• The first 30-90 days of employment will be on 1st shift (7am - 3pm) for training, once trained you will move to the designated 3-2-2-3 shift.

Facility Shift Hours:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

What You Will Do

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.

• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 2+ years maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical AND electrical issues.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Industrial electrical knowledge with advanced motor and frequency drive troubleshooting experience
• Mechanical maintenance experience with conveyor systems, actuated valves, and welding.
• Prior maintenance experience in the packaging industry with focus on converting/corrugating equipment.
• Associate degree in electrical and/or mechanical technology
