Overview
This position is for 2nd or 3rd shift. No 1st shift available. The role involves maintaining production machinery and mechanical equipment, fabricating basic machine parts, and providing replacement parts. Responsibilities also include installing, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and systems.
Location: US-Tennessee-Huntingdon
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, maintain, move, align, erect, or install production/facility/electrical equipment using hand tools, power tools, and electrical knowledge.
- Design, program, repair, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Systems.
- Complete work orders, preventive maintenance rounds, repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs; repair, refit, or replace parts.
- Reorder supplies and equipment as needed.
- Lay out carpentry work and specify materials, including finishing and masonry work.
- Report irregularities or problems with supplies, machinery, or processes to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure safety by verifying area and equipment safety before duties, checking safety equipment, and following safety protocols including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Maintain tools and keep work area clean and organized.
- Report equipment problems to the Maintenance department.
- Assist in training new associates as directed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate or Technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, service manuals, and maintenance records.
- Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, and production equipment.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong computer skills, familiarity with MS Office and E-Maintenance is a plus.
- Good communication, cooperation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes.
- Ability to coach and train others and interact well with diverse personalities.
