Job summary

Service Center Metals (SCM) in Prince George, VA is hiring Industrial Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians for our manufacturing facility. This role covers mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, fabrication and other maintenance disciplines.

You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, cross-train across trades, and enjoy a 2-2-3 schedule with 7 days every two weeks, overtime, and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance or related skilled-trades experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial machinery or heavy equipment.
• Ability and willingness to learn and work across multiple maintenance trades.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment problems.
• Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and other industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Assist with equipment installation and upgrades.
• Work with Maintenance and Operations to minimize equipment downtime.
• Cross-train in multiple maintenance trades and continue developing your technical skills.
