Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic for our Hunterville, NC manufacturing plant to maintain and repair injection molding production equipment and supporting systems. This role requires hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, welding, fabrication, and shop work to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing layout work, and operating forklifts, cranes, and lifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Apprenticeship completion is a plus.
• Injection molding experience is a plus.
• Thermoforming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant structures and equipment in injection molding areas to support reliability and continuity.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, fabrication, machine shop work, and repairs on mobile equipment.

We currently have an opportunity for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic Injection Molding at our Manufacturing Plant in HUNTERSVILLE, NC.

NIGHTSHIFT HOURS

6:30PM- 6:30AM

*Must be willing to train on days

(12 Hour Shift)

Responsibilities

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic – Injection Molding maintains and repairs plant structures, injection molding production equipment, and supporting maintenance equipment to promote reliable manufacturing operations. This position applies mechanical troubleshooting and repair expertise to address equipment issues, support production continuity, and maintain equipment performance. The role works independently within established maintenance priorities and collaborates with manufacturing and maintenance personnel to support safe, efficient plant operations.

Maintenance and Equipment Reliability

• Maintain and repair plant structures and equipment in injection molding production and maintenance areas to support equipment reliability and manufacturing continuity.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
• Perform welding, fabrication, machine shop work, and mobile equipment repairs to maintain equipment functionality and support plant operations.

Technical Support

• Read drawings and perform layout work to support equipment maintenance and repair.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and lifts to support maintenance activities and equipment handling.

Requirements

Education/Experience

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent military service.

Preferred

• Completed an apprenticeship program
• Prior experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.
• Injection molding experience.
• Thermoforming experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Experience with machine shop equipment, welding, fabrication, and repair of mobile equipment, especially diesel-powered equipment.
• Equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems.
• Ability to read drawings and perform layout work.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and lifts.
• Ability to perform physically demanding job activities.
• Ability to pass written and hands-on maintenance tests.
