Job summary

Leadec Holding in Louisville, KY is seeking a Facility Mechatronic Technician (Multi-Craft) to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve industrial equipment and processes. You will install, service, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automation systems on site.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, and control systems, plus the ability to read schematics. You will collaborate with engineers and other technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and train apprentices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• 5+ years in industrial maintenance duties.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and robotic systems is a plus.
• Mechatronics training is a plus.

Responsibilities

Position: Facility Mechatronic Technician (Multi-Craft)

Location: GE AP2 Louisville, KY

Job Type: On-site

Reports to: Facility Manager

Department: North American Operations

Position Purpose: Provide all disciplines including controls & automation industrial maintenance support and analysis to assist Leadec in maintaining & improving the capability of machinery and equipment to achieve customer objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
• Works safely at all times.
• Install, maintain, and repair all systems and equipment in industrial settings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot problems and diagnosed issues with all systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to install and maintain all systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain automation & control systems for industrial machinery and equipment. This will include Robotic too. Must be able to do touch up points and small program movements
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as engineers, mechanics, and technicians, to complete projects and repairs.
• Provide training and guidance to apprentices and other junior maintenance technicians.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain inventory of required equipment and supplies.
• Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance related duties.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus.
• 2+ years of Robotic work experience.
• Mechatronics experience or training is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
• Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
