Job summary

Bridgestone is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our production team. You will perform mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, calibrate systems, and partner with Engineering to install and test equipment.

Candidates should have multi-craft experience, an associates degree or apprenticeship, and be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Electronics/General Technology/Robotics and 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program with 3+ years of maintenance experience
  • Multicraft experience across Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics required

Responsibilities

  • Be Safe— comply with all safety regulations
  • Partner with Engineering team to install, test, and release equipment
  • Knowledge of recording activities in a CMMS
  • Maintain equipment for industrial production, processing, pipelines, and conveyors
  • Familiar with PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Inspect parts for damage or wear
  • Test running machinery and observe operation
  • Use hoists, grinders, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, testing devices

Position Summary

Positions in this sub-family are responsible for managing or performing skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems, buildings, and equipment. Responsible for performing complete operation checkout, modification, disassembly, repair, reassembly, test calibration, diagnosis, and correction of problems. Follows repair and return processes to ensure high quality and short cycle time of repair and return. Sets up necessary repair and test facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Be Safe- comply with all safety regulations
  • Partner with Engineering team to install, test, and release equipment
  • Knowledge of recording activities in a CMMS
  • Maintain equipment for industrial production, industrial processing, pipeline distribution systems, and conveyors
  • Various PLC's
  • Networking and Communications: EtherNet / IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
  • AC Drives, Motors, Encoder and Resolver troubleshooting
  • Calibration of flow, level, pressure, and temperature devices and loops
  • Familiar with bearings, conveying systems, gearboxes, equipment rebuilds, and repairs.
  • Familiar with automation and distributed control system architectures within manufacturing and processing systems.
  • Familiar with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and rotating equipment.
  • Read and use blueprints, schematics, manuals, technical drawings, work orders, test results, machine error messages.
  • Inspect parts for damage/wear
  • Test and observe running machinery
  • Use hoists and lifts, grinders, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, testing equipment, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be a team player interested in helping others and a self starter

Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. holidays, and overtime.

Candidates must have multi-craft experience in Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics. PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.

Associates degree in Electronics, General Technology, Robotics or related field and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

OR

Completion of an apprenticeship program and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

OR

At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
