A Step Ahead Daycare in the Omaha area is seeking a dedicated Multi-Center Substitute Teacher. You will cover infant through preschool classrooms across several centers, providing continuity of care and support for teaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Travel to centers within the Omaha metro area to fill staffing gaps as needed.
• Flex into Infant, Toddler, or Preschool classrooms depending on daily assignments.
• Maintain ratio compliance and a safe, structured environment.
• Implement daily routines, transitions, and activities aligned with each center's practices.
• Build warm, responsive relationships with children.
• Offer guidance, support, encouragement, and smiles throughout the day.
• Follow lesson plans left by the teacher, or lead age-appropriate activities when needed.
• Maintain classroom order and positive behavior guidance.
• Adapt quickly to different teaching teams, room cultures, and child needs.
• Jump in during your shift to help with cleanup, routines, play, learning centers, etc.
• Communicate clearly with teachers and leadership at each center.
• Model professionalism, flexibility, and mutual respect.
