Job summary

Inspire is seeking a design-focused architect/interior designer to create, revise, and review preliminary kitchen layouts (PKLs) for new store development and remodel initiatives across multiple brands. You will also review exterior elevations and work on special projects for the Architecture & Design department.

The role interfaces with Architecture & Design leadership, construction managers, real estate managers, franchisees, and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year/Associate degree in architecture, interior design, or related field.
• 4 year/Bachelor’s degree preferred in architecture, interior design, or related field.
• 2+ years of applied work experience in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years producing technical drawings in a relevant CAD and SketchUp software systems.
• 2+ years of experience in restaurant or retail architecture, construction, or store design preferred.
• Strong technical AutoCAD proficiency to support production of development documents.
• Revit proficiency a plus.
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, mechanical, and technical engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary kitchen layouts (PKLs) for traditional and non-traditional venues (in-lines, end caps, conversions, etc.) for multiple brands.
• Review PKLs, PSLs and Exterior elevations submitted by outside consultants for multiple brands.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with multiple internal matrixed partners and outsourced architects and consultants.
• Accurate record keeping within Development tracking system.
• Prototype design development.
