Job summary

C&L Supreme in Des Plaines, IL, is seeking a CNC Swiss Machine Operator to produce precision parts on multi‑axis Swiss machines. You will read blueprints, GD&T, and set up tooling, perform inspections with precision gauges, and maintain equipment.

This role requires prior Swiss CNC experience or a company apprenticeship, strong math skills, and the ability to work safely on a structured shift.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Swiss‑style CNC machines or completed company apprenticeship.
• Ability to call up programs, offset tools, and set up basic CNC operations.
• Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple machines and produce parts within tolerances.
• Inspect precision products using gauges and visual checks.
• Make offset adjustments and manage tooling and fluids.
• Load bar feeder and measure bar stock.
• Ensure correct material per blueprint and job specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep workstation safe.
• Communicate with setup, foreman, and other shifts about quality.
