Responsibilities
MuleSoft Architectural Strategy: Lead the architectural design of complex, enterprise-wide integration solutions using the MuleSoft product suite to drive business value and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Technical Ownership of Integrations: Identify, analyze, and design integration flows using Mule ESB/Anypoint Studio, and technically own the process of ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of the solution.
AWS for Integration Support: Design and implement AWS infrastructure and services specifically to support, enhance, and host scalable and resilient MuleSoft integration solutions.
Technical Leadership & POCs: Act as the senior technical leader for the integration team, providing high-level mentorship focused on MuleSoft best practices. Lead technical Proof-of-Concept (POC) initiatives to evaluate new integration technologies.
Governance & Strategy: Establish and enforce MuleSoft development standards and governance. Drive the long-term integration strategy, including the API lifecycle, security, and reusability within the Anypoint Platform.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with enterprise architects, IT program managers, and business leaders to facilitate technical solutions that meet critical business requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
8-10 years of extensive, hands-on experience designing and developing integrations with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, MUnit, API Manager, CloudHub).
4+ years in a technical leadership or architect role, with proven experience guiding development teams on major MuleSoft projects.
Core Architectural Knowledge: Strong foundation in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services Interoperability (WS-* standards).
Middleware Design Patterns: Expert-level knowledge of patterns for building middleware systems, including Message Routing, Content Enrichment, Message Filtering, Message Transformation, Guaranteed Delivery, and Batch Message Processing.
Supporting AWS Expertise: Strong practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as it pertains to supporting integration workloads.
Agile Methodologies: In-depth experience working within Agile, Scrum, and iterative development practices.
API Security: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect).
Certification (Nice to Have): MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.
