Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: CT, DE, IA, IN, KS, KY, NC, NH, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, WV, MA, WI, AZ, FL, GA, MI, MO, TN, TX, NJ.

This position requires complex technical knowledge of MuleSoft 4.0, with a strong understanding of MuleSoft development concepts. The candidate should have a good understanding and work experience with API Management concepts and fundamentals. Responsibilities include creating conceptual end-to-end integration deliverables, technical specification documents, and recommending high-quality solutions for the Mule ESB platform. The role involves analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing solutions in coordination with management, associates, and end users, following the Enterprise SDLC. It also includes serving as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. System Enhancement: Evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications using MuleSoft Platform to construct APIs, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provide time estimates for system changes and assist in implementing modifications. Execute test plans to validate application functions.
  2. Analysis: Collect data related to user requests, determine scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspect specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Troubleshoot Mule ESB using debuggers, flow analyzers, and configuration tools.
  3. Business Support: Provide technical support for production systems, address reported issues, anticipate maintenance, and ensure functionality for end users. Draft documentation for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs. Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
  4. Technical Expertise: Design and develop MuleSoft APIs, deploy into cloud environments, and develop interfaces and integration flows using Mule ESB Anypoint Studio, Mule Connectors, Database, MSMQ, HTTP, Web Service Consume, and Email. Experience with API architecture, including Experience, Process, and System API layers, and working with Anypoint platform components.
  5. On-call Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support via rotations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Application Engineering OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience in Application Engineering.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, RAML, Dataweave, CloudHub, and On-Prem.
  • Certification in MuleSoft is preferred.
  • Experience creating custom policies, deployment, securing APIs, and integrating with Salesforce using MuleSoft connectors.
  • Experience with SQL database development, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, pipelines, and release management.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SOAP-UI, and JMeter.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
