Job summary

Bachoco USA is seeking an Industrial Engineer in the Continuous Improvement department at our Muldrow, OK facility to optimize poultry production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on efficiency, safety, and quality in a fully integrated operation.

The successful candidate will apply lean methods, analyze KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve layout, yield, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Lean Six Sigma (green or black belt) preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, and to write reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform productivity measurements consolidating capabilities of equipment, lines, personnel, and processes to design and report efficiency measurements daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Find inefficiency solutions through integration of equipment and action plans to improve the process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize the layout of the poultry processing line.
• Identify deviations of yield and conduct cause-and-effect investigations to create action plans with management for control.
• Review headcount to identify adjustments to increase productivity of personnel, resources, and equipment.
• Regularly analyze KPIs to evaluate process efficiency and product quality.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures for poultry processing operations.
• Drive training for supervisors on industrial engineering, statistics, and lean manufacturing to improve processes.
• Support lean six sigma projects to assure savings according to plan.

Bachoco USA is seeking an Industrial Engineer in the Continuous Improvement department for our Muldrow, OK facility.

Summary:

TheIndustrial Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing various aspects of our poultry production process. Will be crucial in ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of poultry products. This role requires a strong understanding of poultry processing operations and a focus on continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform productivity measurements consolidating capabilities of equipment, lines, personnel, and processes to design and report efficiency measurements of the process on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Find inefficiency solutions detected in the production lines through the integration of equipment and the establishment of action plans to improve the process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize the layout of the poultry processing line.
• Identify the deviations of yield to perform cause and effect investigations to create an action plan with management team for its control.
• Review headcount to identify adjustments on personnel to increase productivity on headcount, resources, and equipment.
• Regularly analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate process efficiency and product quality.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures for various poultry processing operations.
• Drive training responsibilities to supervisors and management on specific techniques of industrial engineering, statistics, and lean manufacturing to develop necessary action plans to improve the process.
• Support lean six sigma projects to assure savings according to plan.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
