Job summary

SAU 58 Groveton High School is seeking a dedicated Student Support Specialist to advance MTSS and behavioral supports for grades 6–12. The role focuses on substance prevention, crisis response, and collaboration with the guidance team to promote student well-being.

Reporting to the Building Principal, you will also provide administrative support to the Guidance Department and maintain records while helping coordinate testing and college visits. A relevant degree and MTSS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and MTSS knowledge.
• Experience with MTSS/MTSS-B, SEL interventions, and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong organizational and crisis-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement SBIRT-related duties and coordinate with grant monitors.
• Provide early intervention services for students with behavioral or mental health concerns.
• Develop and monitor Tier 1 and Tier 2 MTSS/SEL programs for grades 6–12.
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and teachers to support student plans.
• Maintain student records and assist with SIS data entry and scheduling.
