Job summary

Hinds County School District is seeking an Interventionist Assistant to provide research-based academic interventions to students identified as needing support. The role focuses on implementing MTSS interventions, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with district timelines.

Collaborating with CIA Coordinators and site principals, you will help design and support differentiated instruction, monitor outcomes, and maintain accurate data for at-risk learners across the district.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college; state test or equivalents.
• Pre-employment test requirements
• Ability and desire to work well with young children
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Support for at-risk students (bottom quartile, Tier 3, EL) and in need of academic/behavior support

Responsibilities

• Enter, verify, and monitor MTSS data for identified students
• Monitor and evaluate student progress at defined intervals
• Develop and support academic interventions and resources
• Collaborate with a team to identify best practices for students
• Contribute to intervention plan development and implementation
• Support differentiated instruction and progress monitoring tools
• Collect and share current data on at-risk students
• Assist with intervention documentation and communication with coordinators
• Attend meetings to promote awareness and collaboration
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain professional demeanor
