Job Summary : The MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Instructional Aide provides instructional support in small groups or one-on-one settings and helps maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, while monitoring student progress and collecting data. This role helps ensure that all students receive the right level of support to meet their needs and succeed academically and socially.

Required Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude and rapport with students
• Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and students

Desired Qualifications :

• Experience as an instructional assistant
• College classes in English,math,and / or education

Job Description :

• Assist in the tutoring of individual students or groups of students
• Assist teacher in helping students develop a positive self-concept
• Assist in student intervention work & progress monitoring
• Assist in the preparation of intervention materials
• Assist in keeping intervention materials & room neat and orderly
• Work collaborative as member of building Multi-Tiered Systems and Support (MTSS) team
• Supervises students upon arrival to school
• Supervises a portion of lunch recess
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality for all school-related information
• Shall perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Physical Requirements and Work Environment :

• This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
• The position requires occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day.
• Work may take place both indoors and outdoors, with the possibility of some travel to other schools or field trip locations.

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, hours daily, hours weekly, August to June

Salary : $ per hour

Benefits : Paid holidays, sick time, and personal time perthe MAEA agreement
