Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking a Member of Technical Staff III on the Platform as a Service team. You will design, develop, test, and operate platform software and infrastructure enabling cloud-native apps to run reliably on Kubernetes-based edge platforms.

This hands-on role spans software development, cloud-native infrastructure, security, automation, and distributed systems. The candidate will work with engineers across platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, scalable

Qualifications

5–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on Go development experience.
Experience with Linux, containers, Docker/OCI, and Kubernetes.
Experience deploying and troubleshooting Kubernetes applications.
Experience with Git and GitLab or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and backend services.
Experience with AWS or another cloud platform and cloud service integration.
Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines and software release processes.
Experience with unit/integration testing and debugging production software.
Understanding of distributed systems, observability, and failure handling.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and operate platform software and infrastructure on Kubernetes-based edge platforms.
Build backend services, controllers, APIs, automation, and platform components.
Develop and operate Kubernetes-based platform capabilities including deployment, configuration, networking, security, storage, and observability.
Create solutions for edge and disconnected environments with limited connectivity and resources.
Develop GitOps-based deployment workflows using Argo CD, Helm, Kubernetes, and GitLab.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and containerized builds.
Integrate platform services with AWS and cloud infrastructure as needed.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
Troubleshoot issues across application, Kubernetes, Linux, networking, and storage layers.
Contribute to platform security and architecture discussions; participate in agile activities.
