Job summary

Collinear AI, Inc. is seeking a talented MTS - Research to develop data engines and high-fidelity environments for frontier AI. You will build ultra-realistic simulators and evaluation stacks used by leading labs to stress-test agents.

You will collaborate with founders and researchers to shape the roadmap, focusing on reliability, verification, and data-driven experimentation across RLHF/RLAIF-style workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Math, Physics or related field.
• Strong software engineering foundation with Python and CLI-first development experience.
• Solid understanding of foundation models, evaluation, and optimization.
• Experience conducting research or experiments with reproducible results.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic environments: design ultra-realistic, long-horizon simulation environments.
• Programmatic and agentic verification: develop policy-aware judges and evaluations.
• Close the loop: run post-training (CPT, SFT, RL) for frontier performance on open-source models.
• Collaborate with founders and researchers to shape the roadmap and advance AI reliability.
• Analyze model failure modes and build scalable data pipelines for test-time compute.
