Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a licensed MSW to perform diagnostic assessments and interventions, and to provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy under supervision. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support patients and families while developing treatment and transition plans in a healthcare setting.

Requires an MSW from an accredited program and AZ LMSW license; full-time schedule with day hours and a weekend rotation, serving a diverse patient population

Qualifications

• A MSW degree is required from an accredited Masters of Social Work Program.
• Must have advanced knowledge of mental illness categories, personality development, types of psychiatric treatment, and skills in individual, group, and family therapy.
• Must have knowledge in adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
• Strong human relation skills to interact with patients, family, consultants, hospital personnel, and community resources.
• Psychosocial diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, conducts diagnostic assessment and determines interventions.
• Facilitates crisis intervention and psychotherapy for patients and families.
• Communicates effectively and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develops and implements treatment/transition plans; adheres to NASW standards.
