Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an experienced MSW Social Worker for a hospice role in Helena, MT. You will perform psychosocial assessments, provide counseling, support advance care planning, and coordinate community resources to help patients and families navigate end-of-life care.

The position requires an MSW with at least 2 years of clinical/medical social work experience, active BLS, and a valid driver license. 8am–4:30pm shifts for a 13-week assignment, Epic EMR used.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required, working toward LCSW preferred.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Valid driver license required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical/ED/medical social work experience.
• Ability to drive in varied road conditions (gravel roads, snow, rain, ice).

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments, counseling, and emotional support to hospice patients and families.
• Coordinate advance care planning, crisis intervention, and community resources.
• Support discharge planning and end-of-life planning; advocate for patients and families.

POSITION SUMMARY – MSW Social Worker

POSITION DUTIES

Serves as a hospice MSW. Provides psychosocial assessments, counseling, emotional support, advance care planning, crisis intervention, caregiver support, community resource coordination, discharge and end‑of‑life planning, and advocacy to help patients and families navigate the emotional, social, and practical challenges of hospice care. Biopsychosocial assessments, lift 50 lbs intermittently.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

MSW required, at minimum working on LCSW. Must hold active driver license and active BLS. Min of 2 yrs of clinical/ED/Medical Social Worker experience. Must have vehicles that can drive in variety situations- gravel roads, snow, rain, ice.

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT

13 weeks

SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK

8am-430pm.
