Job summary

The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities School of Social Work invites applications for a pool of instructors for MSW courses. Positions are temporary, non-tenured Academic Professional and Administrative (P&A), paid per course, with appointments made semester by semester and contingent on enrollment.

Roles are based on campus with possible remote work when approved. Responsibilities include teaching, evaluating student work, grading, and course prep.

Qualifications

• MSW from CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensed to practice social work in Minnesota.
• At least 2 years post-MSW direct experience.
• Knowledge of the course content area.
• Training/Teaching experience.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Meet class times and official hours as needed.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Attend class meetings and deliver course content.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grading.
• Respond to student inquiries and meet with students.
• Meet with appropriate faculty and gather information as needed.
• Develop course content and syllabus.
• Prepare course materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
