Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in Private Fund Accounting at a Fund Administrator or Investment Manager.
• Strong understanding of Private Fund Structures and attention to detail.

• Monitor fund expenses and assist with due diligence.

Skills

Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance

CPA or CFA preferred

Business Description

Morgan Stanley Tactical Value is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Private Credit and Equity (“PC&E”) business. It manages funds that make opportunistic, private, long-term, and likely illiquid investments globally across all asset classes and the capital structure.

Role Description

Morgan Stanley Tactical Value seeks a thoughtful, analytical, and solutions-oriented individual to support the COO/CFO. The candidate will interface with external Fund Administrators and internal teams including Finance, Private Markets, Legal, Tax, and Compliance.

Fund Management Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly investor reports and notices
• Draft Valuation Committee and Investment Committee materials
• Monitor fund expenses quarterly
• Assist with due diligence and senior management presentations
• Coordinate with Deal Teams for investment processes
• Act as Business Continuity Coordinator
• Support daily margin call monitoring

Fundraising and New Product Development

• Update marketing materials and manage data room access
• Draft responses to due diligence requests and LP inquiries

Special Projects

Ad-hoc projects may be part of the role.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CFA preferred
• 4-5 years in Private Fund Accounting at a Fund Administrator or Investment Manager
• Understanding of Private Fund Structures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
