Instructor/Operator Team Lead

The I/O-Team Lead provides training support services for the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), conducting medical instruction and skill validation for the 68W Combat Medic according to standards set by the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) and the Directorate of Simulation (DOS).

The role involves instructing both inexperienced and experienced soldiers across various MOSs in classroom, simulation lab, and field environments.

Normal working hours are Monday through Sunday, 0800 - 1700, excluding Federal Holidays, with no more than 40 hours per week and a one-hour unpaid lunch.

The I/O-Team Lead conducts training using approved programs of instruction (POI) and simulation scenarios, including courses such as:

  • Medical Education and Demonstration of Individual Competencies (MEDIC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Adult CPR and AED
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • EMT and NRP refreshers
  • Combat Life Saver and Tactical Combat Casualty Care
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the ACLC Program Management Office (PMO) representative at their MSTC site
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold professional and ethical standards
  • Manage course scheduling to meet an annual throughput of 2500 students
  • Coordinate training schedules, provide weekly status updates, and report monthly throughput
  • Approve employee timecards and manage absences and complaints
  • Coordinate external training requests and site visits
  • Ensure POIs are delivered to credentialing standards and conduct training without BMM
  • Complete administrative duties including student rosters, course critiques, certification processing, and record keeping
  • Maintain and troubleshoot training equipment and conduct inventories
  • Assist with training unit preparations and set up training equipment
  • Provide course materials, conduct training, and deliver After Action Reviews
  • Instruct medical tasks and conduct Train the Trainer courses
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current NREMT certification at EMT or higher (Paramedic preferred)
  • BLS certification and instructor qualifications from ARC
  • Annual completion of MEDIC Tables I-VII and Table VIII validation
  • Additional instructor certifications as required
  • Affiliation with ACLC site codes and recertification training
  • Ability to instruct all POIs, strong comprehension skills, basic computer skills
  • Must be eligible for a Contractor CAC
Additional Requirements
  • Former 68W or 18D NCO, Navy NEC 8404 or above, or Air Force 4NOX1 or above
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician
Physical Demands & Job Context

This position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, walk, and perform various physical activities regularly. Visual acuity and communication skills are essential. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities.
