The Morgan Stanley Private Credit Platform (“MSPC”) is the primary private credit platform at Morgan Stanley. We primarily invest in directly originated middle market loans and invests throughout the capital structure across a wide range of industry sectors. Our investment teams bring significant expertise in structuring complex financial transactions and commitment to partnership with world class management teams. MSPC has over $22 billion of investable capital dedicated to private credit across two strategies and 70+ investment professionals with offices in NY, CHI, and LA.

The Two Dedicated Private Credit Strategies Are

• Direct Lending – strategy is executed through business development companies, commingled funds and SMAs
• Opportunistic Credit – strategy is executed through commingled private funds
  
  

Role Description

Newly created role within the Operations team that will have responsibilities for a broad range of activities pertaining to the operations of the funds. The person will assist the growing team with a number of functions and activities including, but not limited to:

• Perform daily, monthly, quarterly process and deliverables
• Ongoing oversight of the outsource service provider
• Design reconciliation and coordination protocols
• Focus on data integrity of loan-level information pertaining to asset setups and signoffs for monthly and quarterly reporting
• Ensure timely updates of systems including trade processing and amendments
• Assist team with closing related processes including security master level data and downstream of information flow to service providers
• Monitor cash receipts for interest and principal repayments
• Ensure outgoing cash transfers are processed and tracked for activity within the portfolio
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required
• 2-5 years of relevant operations experience in private credit/direct lending
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to interact directly with investment professionals
• Strong computer skills, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely organized and ability to multi-task
• Must be meticulous, detail-focused and consistently accurate
• Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Project management experience, a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
