Job description

Delaney Computer Services, Inc. is a trusted Managed IT and Cybersecurity Services Provider based in Northern NJ. We’re built around recurring revenue, not project scraps. Our clients stick with us because we solve real problems, provide real support, and take a long-term view. If you're the kind of person who values relationships over quick wins, you’ll fit in here.

The Role:

This hybrid role is part business development, part account management. You’ll be qualifying real leads from our website, developing new opportunities with ideal-fit prospects, and cultivating revenue from existing client relationships. Your focus will be monthly recurring revenue—not pushing one-time projects or chasing low-margin hardware deals.

What You'll Do:

  • Vet and qualify inbound leads—disqualify bad fits quickly and focus on those worth pursuing.
  • Guide prospects into managed IT service agreements built on recurring revenue and mutual fit.
  • Conduct discovery, proposal development, and handoffs to the service delivery team.
  • Build and manage client relationships, surface upsell opportunities, and support retention.
  • Identify gaps where clients need cybersecurity upgrades, user support, licensing bundles, etc.
  • Partner with leadership to shape win-win agreements that align with our service capabilities.

Who You Are:

  • You understand that recurring revenue is the business—not project churn.
  • You’ve sold B2B services before (MSP, SaaS, or consulting), and you know how to listen first.
  • You’re technical enough to understand the basics of managed IT and honest enough to admit what you don’t know.
  • You don’t oversell, you don’t overpromise, and you care about what happens after the deal closes.
  • You know how to earn trust and maintain it.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in IT services, MSP, SaaS, or technology consulting.
  • Understanding of the managed services model and recurring revenue agreements (not just projects or hourly billing).
  • Comfortable qualifying inbound leads and disqualifying poor-fit prospects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for email follow-ups, proposals, and client calls.
  • Technically fluent enough to speak about IT services, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure at a business level.
  • Able to manage a sales pipeline using a CRM tool (e.g., Autotask, HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Must be based in the NY/NJ metro area and able to travel locally for on-site client meetings.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail—no dropped balls.
  • Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving team without constant oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships.

Education

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or STEM field of study
  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Company-sponsored 401K with 100% Match Up to 4% of your salary
  • Company profit-sharing plan
  • Access to Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Dog-friendly Office - bring your dog to work (subject to approval)
