A leading company in staffing solutions seeks a Disability Financial Underwriter to work with Short Term and Long Term Disability offerings. This role involves preparing client offers, conducting financial analyses, and collaborating with sales teams to ensure optimal risk management. Join a diverse team focused on enhancing consumer experiences through effective underwriting and risk analysis.
The Disability Financial Underwriter will work with Short Term and Long Term Disability opportunities to prepare offers for prospective and renewal clients in the small and mid-market group segments. Providing appropriate rationale and support to Sales, clients and other areas within the organization surrounding risk selection, financial analysis, rate computations and financial activity. Provides expense estimates and accurate analysis of financial exhibits. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Two or more years of Short Term and Long Term Disability underwriting and risk analysis experience
• Comprehensive understanding of risk pool management
• Knowledge of the competitor landscape
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Demonstrate high performance and accountability working in a remote work environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience analyzing disability and health related data
• Industry related course work is preferred but not required
Additional Information
• Experience with Dental, Vision and/or Life plans is beneficial
