Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Active CPR certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• 1 year clinical RN experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications and transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in multiple modalities; 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter, a full-time schedule.
• Promote the vision and mission of Rasmussen University and support student success.
• Use effective teaching strategies and model learning skills in the classroom.
• Engage students with activities, live sessions, and student-centered learning.
• Ensure objectives align with course performance and maintain an organized class.
• Develop and implement curriculum and assessment for the area of expertise.
• Create classroom presence in support of students in collaboration with the Dean.
• Provide student support and outreach through synchronous or asynchronous meetings.
• Attend events, program meetings, and committee work as designated by the Dean.
