Job description

US East Coast | Emerging Biotech | Field Medical

What if your next MSL role wasn't simply about stepping into an established Medical Affairs model - but about helping shape it?

I'm working with an innovative, emerging biotech that is entering an important phase of clinical development and is looking to appoint a Director Medical Science Liaison to support its US Medical Affairs activities.

This is an opportunity to join a small, science-led organisation where you'll have genuine visibility and influence, working closely with senior Medical Affairs and Clinical Development leadership.

The opportunity

You'll play a key role in developing scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators and clinical sites across haematology/oncology, supporting clinical development and bringing meaningful field insights back into the organisation.

The role will include:

  • Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with KOLs and investigators

  • Providing high-quality, compliant scientific exchange around the clinical pipeline

  • Supporting clinical development, site identification and feasibility

  • Contributing to advisory boards, congresses and other scientific activities

  • Gathering and communicating field insights to inform Medical Affairs and clinical strategy

  • Helping develop Medical Affairs processes, infrastructure and best practice as the organisation grows

  • Working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and other internal stakeholders

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with experienced MSLs / Senior MSLs with a strong background in:

  • Haematology and/or oncology

  • Clinical development, ideally within Phase I/II or an early-stage environment

  • KOL and investigator engagement

  • Scientific exchange and advisory board activity

  • Working independently and operating effectively within a growing organisation

Experience within myeloid malignancies, MPNs, myelofibrosis or related areas would be highly relevant, but we're also interested in strong haem/onc MSLs who can demonstrate transferable expertise.

This could suit someone who enjoys being more than a traditional field-based MSL - someone who wants to build, influence and have a voice in how Medical Affairs develops.

US East Coast territory | Significant field travel

If you're an experienced MSL looking for a chance to make an impact within an ambitious biotech environment, I'd be very happy to have a confidential conversation.
