Medical Science Liaison / Senior MSL – Oncology (solid)

Territory: DC, DE, MD, WV

Field‑Based ~60% Travel

Summary

We’re recruiting an Oncology‑focused MSL/Sr. MSL to join a highly reputable global pharmaceutical organisation with a strong R&D engine and a mission‑driven culture.

This is a position required to ensure uninterrupted scientific engagement and field medical coverage across a strategically important territory.

This role offers meaningful impact, strong leadership support, and the opportunity to help shape KOL relationships across a high‑visibility region.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage in high‑quality scientific exchange with HCPs and KOLs within solid tumor oncology
  • Build and maintain peer‑level relationships across key academic and community accounts
  • Deliver accurate, balanced clinical and scientific information
  • Gather and communicate actionable insights to Medical Affairs leadership
  • Support IIS submissions, research requests, and site-level discussions
  • Lead or support congress activities and pipeline education
  • Plan and execute territory strategy
  • For Sr. MSL level: mentor junior team members and contribute to special projects

What You Bring

  • Advanced doctorate (PharmD, PhD, DNP, MD, etc.)
  • MSL: 1–3 years MSL experience
  • Sr. MSL: 3+ years MSL experience
  • Strong solid tumor scientific depth and the ability to engage credibly at a peer level
  • Knowledge of clinical research, treatment guidelines, FDA/OIG requirements
  • Existing KOL relationships in the territory preferred
  • Must reside within DC/VA/DE/MD/WV
  • Expected performance metrics: approx. 25 interactions/month with emphasis on insight quality

Compensation:

Team & Reporting

You’ll join a well‑structured oncology field medical team (~7 MSLs) and report to a Regional Director who values clarity, collaboration, and scientific credibility.
