Job summary

CBS News Miami is seeking a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join Paramount’s CBS News operations in Miami. The MSJ will craft original stories, pitch ideas daily, and deliver local coverage for fast-paced South Florida audiences with strong on-camera presence.

The role requires shooting, writing, and editing for broadcast and digital platforms, coordinating with managers and producers, and producing social media content across platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for linear and digital platforms.
• Must have knowledge of Grass Valley Edius editing platform or similar platform.
• Must have knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU.
• Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays is required.
• Must be a team player with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Journalism degree is preferred.

• Cover breaking news when assigned.
• Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts.

CBS News Miami is looking for a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our team. The MSJ will have a passion for original storytelling, bring story ideas to the table daily, and a desire to tell local stories that matter in fast-paced South Florida.
MSJ’s are responsible for enterprising content and executing a story from start to finish. The candidate will also have a strong on-camera presence and strong technical skills.
