3 North is a 42-bed Medical-Surgical unit. The main focus is providing safe, quality-driven care based on evidence-based practice. Patients are received from the emergency room, direct admissions, transfers from other hospitals, intensive care, and other units.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
  • The Registered Nurse demonstrates dedication to enriching patients' lives through empathy and compassion.
  • Shows commitment to interpersonal excellence through professional greetings and courtesy.
  • Develops and implements a care plan, including delegation of care.
  • Participates in patient and family education.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in patient care.
  • Responds appropriately in emergency situations, including Codes.
  • Adheres to hospital and department policies and procedures.
  • Interprets patient data accurately and uses this data independently or with other healthcare professionals to plan and revise care.
