Job summary

R2D2 Support Services Co., Inc. DBA Mosquito Squad Chicago is seeking a field technician to join our outdoor pest control team and help eliminate mosquitos and ticks.

You will follow route assignments, apply Protective Barrier treatments, greet clients, explain procedures, complete forms on time, and maintain vehicle and equipment; a valid driver’s license and the ability to carry 65 lb gear are required. Weekly pay, company vehicles, paid training, and a flexible schedule are available.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Present information to clients in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Pass pre-employment screenings and pesticide-related tests if required.

Responsibilities

• Follow route assignment and drive safely.

Requirements

• Follow route assignment and drive safely
• Politely and graciously greet client (if home) and explain day's procedure
• Apply Mosquito Squad Plus 21-day Protective Barrier Treatment and other upgrades & applications as trained
• Notify client when complete, and expertly explain any unusual findings, and answer questions
• Complete all required forms accurately and on time
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition
• Assist in upgrading sales to current customers

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Write short, detailed correspondence
• Be able to study for and pass the Pesticide Applicator test (Tier 2), and potentially the Structural License test (Tier 1)
• Effectively and graciously present information to clients in one-on-one and small group settings
• Display Outstanding customer service skills
• Be a Team player
• Have a Safe driving record and reliable transportation
• Be able to comfortably carry 65lb backpack blower, often through wooded or uneven terrain
• Perform duties safely and effectively in various weather conditions
• Pass pre-employment screenings
