Job summary

Mondelēz International seeks a Finance Manager for the Chicago Plant to lead financial planning, controls, and reporting. You will partner with plant leadership to drive productivity, manage costs, and oversee monthly manufacturing financials with a strong focus on internal controls and governance.

The role requires 7–10 years in manufacturing finance, Leadership experience, and strong analytical/communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems; S/4HANA experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Plant Controller to provide strategic financial guidance to plant leadership.
• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Own the monthly manufacturing financials and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage the plant's risk and opportunity profile and forecast accuracy.
• Lead cost and budget ownership across the plant and govern cost centers.
• Monitor site KPIs and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Maintain internal controls and support post-investment evaluations.

You will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and partnering with plant leadership to achieve business targets. In the Controller's absence, you will assume full responsibility for the plant's finance function.How You Will ContributePartner with the Plant Controller to provide strategic financial guidance to plant leadership, translating insights into actionable recommendations that support net productivity and capital expenditure targets.Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with strategic objectives.Own the monthly process for manufacturing financials, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and continuous cycle-time improvement.Manage the plant's risk and opportunity profile, driving forecast accuracy to control spending and achieve financial results.Lead cost and budget ownership across the plant, ensuring proper governance, training, and accountability around cost centers.Drive the loss analysis and loss elimination agenda, coordinating the master planning process and aligning with the cluster's productivity targets.Monitor site and cluster KPIs — waste, overtime, fixed costs, overheads — and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.Ensure robust inventory management procedures, BOM and MR accuracy.Support the Engineering team with appropriation requests and post-investment evaluations.Supervise and develop the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.Maintain a strong internal controls environment to ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with corporate policies.What You Will BringTECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning, manufacturing cost accounting, and internal controls — including analyzing and reporting financial performance across all KPIs and supporting investment decisions and cost management.BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of CPG/manufacturing dynamics.
