Job summary

Republic Bank of Chicago in Oak Brook, IL is seeking an MSB Operations Specialist to support daily and project duties in the MSB department, ensuring compliance with laws and bank policies. You will respond to customer requests, open new accounts on the FIS platform, and process wires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: meet and exceed customers’ expectations and handle inquiries.
• Prepare account files and open new accounts on the FIS platform.
• Process loan payments, wire transfers, and account transfers.
• Manage cash ordering and set ordering limits.
• Handle office tasks including copying, scanning, and filing.
• Assist with forgery and fraud related claims processing.
• Maintain customer account lists and perform account maintenance.

• Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.50 Hourly

GENERAL FUNCTION

Supports the MSB Department by responding to customer requests and completing daily, periodic, and project-based responsibilities for Republic Bank of Chicago while ensuring the MSB Department follows all applicable laws and regulations of the Bank and MSB Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer Service - Meeting and exceeding customers’ various expectations and solving customer problems and inquiries:
  
  
  
  • Preparing new account documentation
  
  
  • Open new accounts on the FIS platform
  
  
  • Statement instructions and rendering
  
  
  • Prepare account files.
  
  
  • Order supplies including:
    
    
    
    • Checks
    
    
    • Deposit tickets
    
    
    • Endorsement stamps
    
    
    
    
  
  
  • Manual Wire transfers
  
  
  • Account transfers
  
  
  • Help maintain customer account lists (focus to sell web products)
  
  
  • Cash ordering set-up:
    
    
    
    • Emergency cash orders
    
    
    • Set ordering limits.
    
    
    
    
  
  
  • Loan payment and line of credit advance/repayment processing.
  
  
  • Research on inquiries concerning cash deliveries, pick-ups, errors in debits or credits posting to accounts.
  
  
  • Issuing provisional credits
  
  
  
  


• Other office work as needed including:
  
  
  
  • Copying, faxing, scanning
  
  
  • Account maintenance including changes of address, billing errors, etc.

Forgery / Fraud Related Requests

• Process incoming claims through the MSB Client Portal


• Process both Incoming and Outgoing Forgery and Mobile Deposit Claims


• Reclamations

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• High School Degree or its equivalent.


• Knowledge of industry, especially operations, with direct experience in the industry preferred.


• Basic office computer skills.


• Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines.
