Job summary

AskBio is seeking a Process Engineer II to join the MSAT Process Engineering team at the RTP headquarters. The role supports scale-up, technology transfer of gene therapy programs into cGMP manufacturing for clinical production and product launch, with involvement in PPQ readiness and cross-functional collaboration.

You will perform scale-up runs, develop small-scale models, write protocols and reports, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years or Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline.
• Hands-on upstream or downstream biomanufacturing laboratory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer processes into MSAT lab and scale-up to cGMP manufacturing.
• Perform scale-up runs and technology transfer for clinical and commercial campaigns.
• Develop and qualify small-scale models predictive of cGMP scale.
• Author protocols and reports and maintain organized electronic notebooks.
• Support investigations and root-cause analyses with data-driven approaches.
