Lonza in Portsmouth, NH, USA seeks a Process Scientist to lead technology transfer and support commercial manufacturing within a GMP environment. This on-site role emphasizes collaboration across MSAT, quality, and production teams to ensure robust processes and compliant operations.

The position offers exposure to biologics manufacturing programs, data-driven process improvements, and direct involvement in audits and regulatory activities, contributing to life-changing therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes, technology transfer, or process development.
• Experience authoring and reviewing technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for technology transfer and manufacturing process support activities.
• Develop process understanding, perform risk assessments, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Author and review process descriptions, batch records, change controls, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, analyze process data, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and product quality assessments.
• Represent MSAT on customer-facing and internal project teams, including audits and operational meetings.
• Support lot release activities and ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
