Job summary

A leading healthcare system is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform both vascular and general ultrasound procedures across all age groups. This role necessitates independent judgment and technical expertise, with duties overseen by a Radiologist and/or Vascular Lab Clinical Manager. Candidates must be registered with accredited bodies and hold relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registration in Vascular Technology required (RVT or RVS).
• Registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required.
• Must hold at least one registry in Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular and general diagnostic ultrasounds on various age groups.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures.

Job Summary

Performs both vascular and general diagnostic Ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, pediatric and adolescent patients. Performs vascular Ultrasound procedures under the direction of the Vascular Lab Clinical Manager. Preforms general Ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or the Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator. Must perform variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

Require registration in Vascular Technology by either accrediting body:- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT)- Cardiac Credentialing International (RVS)
Require registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), and must hold at least one (1) of the following upon hire:- Abdomen (AB)- Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)Both of the above registries must be obtained within one (1) year from hire.
- Require diploma from Ultrasound education program.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer experience in both vascular and general ultrasound.
