As a MS Science Teacher, you will create and implement a flexible program and classroom environment conducive to student learning and growth. Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines, establish rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for an effective educational foundation.

How You Will Impact Education

Instruction/Education Responsibilities

  1. Plan and implement instruction adhering to company philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  2. Create purposeful and effective lesson plans with appropriate strategies.
  3. Present subject matter to maximize learning, including real-world examples.
  4. Review student records to understand abilities and needs; maintain accurate records.
  5. Maximize educational achievement for each student.
  6. Use varied learning modalities and differentiated instruction.
  7. Conduct diagnostic assessments regularly.
  8. Assess student strengths and weaknesses, provide activities to address needs, and generate progress reports.
  9. Refer students with suspected learning problems to support personnel.
  10. Assign lessons, correct work, and review oral presentations.
  11. Coordinate class field trips as required.
  12. Prepare students for state assessments.
  13. Stay current in subject knowledge and share this for curriculum improvement.
  14. Assist in curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
  15. Familiarize with supplemental services beneficial to students.

Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning

  1. Create a positive and safe classroom environment suitable for student maturity and interests.
  2. Maintain positive rapport, patience, and nurturing.
  3. Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student work.
  4. Implement policies on student conduct.
  5. Develop and enforce classroom behavior rules fairly and consistently.

Instructional Planning

  1. Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals.
  2. Plan activities to meet instructional objectives and student needs.
  3. Prepare for classes and demonstrate readiness.
  4. Participate in curriculum planning meetings.
  5. Incorporate diagnostic information from IEPs into planning.
  6. Protect supplies, equipment, and facilities needed for instruction.

School/Community Relations

  1. Establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents when appropriate.
  2. Communicate clearly and positively with parents via various mediums.
  3. Collaborate with administration, staff, and CSUSA.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of student records.
  5. Participate in parent communication activities.
  6. Engage in extracurricular activities to promote school culture and support students and staff.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  3. Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  2. Valid teaching certification as appropriate.
  3. One to three years of successful teaching experience (including internships).
  4. Combination of education and experience acceptable.
  5. Strong content knowledge and understanding of learning theories.
  6. Commitment to company values.
  7. Successful background check results.
  8. Effective instructional and communication skills.
  9. Adherence to the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
