As a MS Math Teacher, you will create and implement a flexible program and classroom environment conducive to student learning and personal growth. Develop lesson plans aligned with established guidelines, establish rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to provide a strong educational foundation tailored to each student's ability.
How You Will Impact Education
Instruction/Education Responsibilities
- Plan and implement instruction adhering to the company's philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Create purposeful and effective lesson plans that maximize teaching strategies and time on task.
- Present subject matter to maximize learning opportunities, incorporating real-world, application-based examples.
- Review student records to understand each student's abilities and needs; maintain accurate student records.
- Strive to maximize each student's educational achievement.
- Use a variety of student learning modalities and differentiate instruction within lessons.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments regularly to evaluate student learning.
- Assess student strengths and weaknesses frequently, provide appropriate activities, and generate progress reports as needed.
- Refer students with suspected learning difficulties to support personnel.
- Assign lessons, correct student work, and review oral presentations.
- Coordinate class field trips as required.
- Prepare students for state achievement assessments.
- Stay current in subject knowledge and learning theories, sharing knowledge to improve curriculum.
- Assist in curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
- Familiarize with supplemental services that benefit students beyond regular classroom activities.
Create a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
- Create a positive, conducive learning environment appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
- Maintain positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing growth.
- Ensure classroom safety and cleanliness, displaying student work as appropriate.
- Implement policies on student conduct and develop reasonable behavior rules.
- Maintain order fairly and consistently.
Instructional Planning
- Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals.
- Design individual and group activities to meet instructional objectives.
- Prepare thoroughly for classes and participate in curriculum planning meetings.
- Incorporate diagnostic information, including IEPs, into planning.
- Protect supplies, equipment, and materials needed for instruction.
School/Community Relations
- Establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents/guardians appropriately.
- Communicate clearly and positively with parents via all suitable channels.
- Collaborate with administration and staff, maintaining confidentiality.
- Participate in parent communication activities and extracurricular events to foster a positive school culture.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Valid teaching certification as appropriate.
- 1-3 years of successful teaching experience, including internships.

- Adherence to the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Usual school conditions, possibly noisy during high traffic. Light physical exertion, some stress due to student activity. The role is exempt from FLSA overtime.
