Job summary

Nimble is seeking an enthusiastic Middle School Asst. Volleyball Coach to support the head coach in grades K-8 athletics. You will help run practices, teach game strategies, and monitor player progress to develop a positive team culture at Beech Grove City Schools.

Primary duties include assisting with practice planning, supervising athletes, handling equipment, and assisting with end-of-season awards and events. Athletic department involvement encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Past Playing/Coaching Experience Preferred but not Required.
• Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

Responsibilities

• Assists head coach with instructing players in rules, regulations, equipment and techniques.
• Directs individual and small group practice activities as directed by head coach.
• Assesses players' skills and monitors performance during games and practices.
• Assists in determining game strategy.
• Supervises athletes during practices and competitions.
• Follows procedures for athlete injuries.
• Models sportsmanship and maintains appropriate conduct toward players, officials, and spectators.
• Maintains equipment room in orderly condition and security.
• Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students as directed.
• Assists with submitting a list of award winners at season end.
• Participates in parent nights, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
• Distributes and maintains eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and related records.
