Job summary

Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw is seeking an upbeat Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to foster a collaborative and inspiring learning environment for grades 6-8. This position will deliver English Language Arts instruction to middle school students, incorporating research-based strategies to engage learners and improve achievement.

The role requires Michigan teaching certification, a BA/BX endorsement, and at least three years of teaching experience with MTSS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have valid State of Michigan teacher certification with a BA and/or BX endorsement.
• Bachelor's degree is required
• Minimum of 3 years teaching
• Knowledge of MTSS framework

Responsibilities

• Implementation of English Language Arts curriculum
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and are in line with the State standards
• Develop and implement strategies of interventions for individual students
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Maintain classroom management and discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
• Performance Standards: Demonstrate interest in the work of the Academy and a strong commitment to the moral values and dedication to providing an excellent educational foundation for learners that will enable them to be motivated and excited learners
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding information, policies, and procedures
• Ensure confidentiality of all student and Academy privileged information
