Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $68.00/hr

Under the supervision of the strategic data management & solutions team, the developer is responsible for creating a data system project from raw data collection to the report output tables using Microsoft business intelligence solutions. This requires creating a 3-layer data process, creating an automated data collection using ETL process, data integration layer into the warehouses and building analytical data cubes. The role involves working with the stakeholders to understand the needs, translating them into technical requirements and delivering project outcomes within the timeline.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create database and schema objects to build the fiscal system from historical files.
  2. Automate the raw data collection from FTP client server sources (CSV, Excel etc.file).
  3. Set up FTP tasks for mail notifications and send mail task packages using SSIS.
  4. Create and automate ETL process using SSIS to load clean data into the system.
  5. Develop, configure and deploy SSIS packages. Implement event handlers and error handling notifications.
  6. Create and connect error reports (BI reporting tools) for the data submitters from the raw data files.
  7. Write complex queries to build joints and data logic for business definitions using T-SQL scripts.
  8. Build data relationships and create Dimension and Fact tables to maintain a consistent final output through calculated fields.
  9. Design/develop/optimize stored procedures for data warehouse tables.
  10. Perform testing, troubleshooting report issues and optimizing query performance.
  11. Build OLAP cubes/DataMart for analytical reporting.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in computer science, math, or related science field required.
  2. 5+ years proficiency in SQL Server/T-SQL language required.
  3. 5+ years proficiency using Microsoft tools (SSIS, SSAS, BI reporting tools) required.
  4. 4+ years’ experience as an ETL developer.
  5. 5+ years of experience in business intelligence development area building data warehouses & data marts required.
  6. Work experience in the Fiscal/Finance industry is preferable.

  1. Latest versions of Microsoft BI technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)

Duration of the Contract:

12-month contract or until the project go live. Hiring TN residents only. Hybrid position with a need to be in office at least once a week.
