Qualifications

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a MRO Support Engineer to fill a high-impact role focused on supporting repair and overhaul solutions for many of the world’s largest airlines and aviation customers. In this role, the Support Engineer will assist engineering, operations, and other support functions to efficiently repair aircraft components of metallic and advanced composite construction.

The Support Engineer will engage with shop maintenance to not only troubleshoot and accomplish repairs, but also develop process improvements and innovative repair techniques that drive down costs and deliver Best-In-Class solutions for our customers.

This position will be on site in Foley, AL.

What You Will Do
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, repair processes, and manufacturing techniques to support repair activity and or fabrication of repair parts for aircraft components
  • Communicate frequently with internal and external customers, engineers, mechanics, and leaders to drive status updates, progress, changes, etc.
  • Resolve repair problems of not typically difficult or complex scope with moderate supervision
  • Provide proactive technical support to engineering and operations to meet or exceed external and internal customer requirements
  • Develop processes to accomplish the various procedures in the repair and restoration of components
  • Support Quality Assurance personnel and Mechanics to facilitate compliance with policy, procedures, and regulations
  • Collaborate effectively with a cross functional team and coordinate with external customers
  • Learn to apply lean principles and support improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes using Continuous Improvement tools
Qualifications You Must Have

Salary

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
