Job summary

Chobani is seeking a MRO Purchasing Specialist to source and procure maintenance, repair, and operations items, manage supplier relationships, and support maintenance teams. You will coordinate with OEMs, obtain quotes, and maintain SAP records to ensure timely parts availability while optimizing inventory levels.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required, college degree preferred.
• Preferred experience with SAP.
• Minimum 2 years of inventory or purchasing experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain priorities to meet targets with minimal guidance.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure MRO items directly with OEM suppliers and distributors.
• Obtain quotes and evaluate options for best cost, quality and value.
• Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Parts teams to meet operational needs.
• Prepare Purchase Order requisitions and track confirmations.
• Source emergency parts as needed and maintain SAP records.
• Support inventory control and parts flow processes with standard methods.
• Coordinate with suppliers to reduce overages and shortages.
• Maintain electronic order files and packing slips; assist Accounts Payable as needed.
• Provide parts information to Technicians and analyze MRO spend.

The salary range for this full-time position is $24.50 - $26.00, plus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Summary

MRO Purchasing Specialist role will provide support to the Maintenance and other Chobani teams to source and procure MRO tools, parts and services.

Responsibilities

• The Work directly with OEM suppliers and distributors to source items as needed
• Obtain quotes and research purchasing options to obtain the best cost, quality and value
• Manage and maintain vendor relationships, and evaluate suppliers
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Parts teams to meet operational needs
• Prepare Purchase Order requisitions and ensure order confirmations are received
• Source and procure emergency parts as needed
• Maintain accurate ETA dates in SAP system
• Develop and recommend standard methodologies for the parts flow process and procedures
• Develop and implement processes with suppliers to improve processes and reduce parts overages/shortages
• Maintain electronic files for all orders and packing slips
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues
• Resolve supplier packing slip discrepancies
• Coordinate procurement processes to ensure accurate inventory transactions
• Provide information and communication to Technicians regarding parts and part ordering processes
• Analyze inventory and MRO spend
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to establish and maintain priorities in order to complete assignments by target dates without detailed instructions
• Average proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal skills with positive, customer-orientation combined with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
