This entry-level role focuses on ensuring continuity of supply, accurate purchasing data, and cost-saving initiatives while collaborating with experienced buyers.

The position is on-site in Auburn, MA with occasional travel to supplier sites. Salary ranges from $58,800 to $76,300 per year, and the role offers growth in procurement and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, inventory planning, or a related business function.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders for expense and capital purchases while ensuring timely supplier communication.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage replenishment activities, and maintain accurate purchasing data within SAP.
• Support supplier onboarding, vendor master data management, and Approved Supplier List (ASL) administration.
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Receiving, Warehouse, and suppliers to resolve purchasing, delivery, and invoice-related issues.
• Assist with supplier performance monitoring, sourcing initiatives, and implementation of cost savings projects.
• Administer blanket purchase orders, service agreements, and recurring MRO purchases that support operational continuity.
• Prepare reports, analyze purchasing data, and support procurement process improvements and compliance activities.
