Job summary

Karl Storz Endoscopy is seeking an Associate MRO Buyer to support indirect procurement and supplier management at our Auburn, MA site. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in procurement, inventory control, data accuracy, and supplier relations.

You will work with experienced buyers to ensure continuity of supply, process requisitions, and maintain data in SAP, Excel, and ERP systems. Travel occasional to supplier sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 0–2 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related business experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders for expense and capital purchases while ensuring timely supplier communication.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage replenishment activities, and maintain accurate purchasing data within SAP.
• Support supplier onboarding, vendor master data management, and Approved Supplier List (ASL) administration.
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Receiving, Warehouse, and suppliers to resolve purchasing, delivery, and invoice-related issues.
• Assist with supplier performance monitoring, sourcing initiatives, and implementation of cost savings projects.
• Administer blanket purchase orders, service agreements, and recurring MRO purchases that support operational continuity.
• Prepare reports, analyze purchasing data, and support procurement process improvements and compliance activities.

About the Role

KARL STORZ is seeking an Associate MRO Buyer to support indirect procurement and supplier management activities across our operations. This entry-level purchasing role offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in procurement, supplier relations, sourcing, inventory management, and business process improvement while working alongside experienced purchasing professionals. You will play a key role in ensuring continuity of supply, maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data, supporting cost savings initiatives, and providing exceptional service to internal stakeholders across the organization.

This role will be an on-site positin based out of our Auburn, MA location. Compensation for this position falls between $58,800 - 76,300. Occasional travel to KARL STORZ and supplier sites may be required.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, inventory planning, or a related business function.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with supply chain analysis, Tableau, or data reporting tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
