Job summary

Ontic is seeking a temporary MRO Buyer for our Miramar, FL site to procure major parts and manage obsolescence, reporting to the Supply Chain and Planning Manager. The assignment is onsite for up to six months with collaboration across engineering, operations, planning, and quality teams.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years in procurement and planning, and experience with ERP/MRP systems and supplier development. Aerospace experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement and planning.
• Experience with tactical and strategic supplier development and networking.
• ERP/MRP systems proficiency preferred.
• Microsoft Suite proficiency including Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure commodities such as major machined parts, castings, electronic components, and mechanical assemblies.
• Oversee and implement obsolescence management strategies.
• Oversee program management of subcontracted assemblies and highly engineered technical products.
• Collaborate with various supply chain departments including Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Planning, Customer Service, Quality, and leadership.
