Job summary

Ontic in Chatsworth, California seeks an Engineering Manager for the PMO to lead the transfer of engineering data, knowledge, assemblies, and test capabilities for product-line transfers into Ontic.

You will manage a PMO engineering team, ensuring thorough knowledge transfer, data/document control, and training across technicians, operators, engineering and HSE. Strong aerospace, leadership, and MRO/OEM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Aerospace industry experience is required.
• Proven experience in a technical managerial role is required.
• Experience in technical MRO/OEM roles is preferred.
• Understanding of aviation quality standards, design controls and configuration is required.
• Broad Manufacturing Engineering competence across mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical/electronic is desired.
• Experience with test equipment is an advantage.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; proficient in MS Office and ERP.
• Ability to train others and lead in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PMO Engineering team for transferring engineering work packages to Ontic.
• Ensure resources are supported with product/process knowledge during transitions.
• Oversee retrieval, loading and cataloguing documents in ERP and data repositories.
• Describe and drive all engineering activities for product transfers.
• Capture and document transferring product knowledge.
• Provide training and support for technicians, operators, engineering and HSE.
• Lead lessons learnt and support due diligence phases.
• Direct resources, including contract staff, and ensure compliance with health, safety and data protection.
